In 2009, finding good Django hosting in Europe was surprisingly hard. Most "Python hosting" was an afterthought bolted onto a PHP stack. Shared hosts offered cPanel and phpMyAdmin, not what a Django project needs.

We were Django developers ourselves. We wanted a host that understood the framework: virtualenvs, pip, a proper WSGI setup, database migrations, background tasks. And we didn't want to set up, maintain and upgrade a server of our own for every project. So we built that host.

That focus has never changed. We keep the servers patched and up to date, and you get full shell access. Yes, WordPress runs here too. But Django is what we do.

Our servers run in five data centres in Germany, Finland, Switzerland, France and the USA. You choose where your data lives, and you can move your account to any of our locations at any time.

Our support knows Django because we build with it: our own control panel is a Django application. When you open a ticket, you get an answer from someone who understands the framework, not someone reading from a script. You can write us in your mother tongue, though English and German are best understood. The status of our servers is public, and we take our service level agreement seriously: 99.5% annual availability, with no fine print that undermines it.
